ABOUT TN ASDC-H

The government of Tamil Nadu has prioritized the development of skilled professionals in various sectors for the economic growth and well-being of the state. In 2019, five key sectors were identified with a plan to establish Apex Skill Development Centres in each field. This special initiative was implemented by the Tamil Nadu Skill Development Corporation (TNSDC) under the aegis of the Department of Labour & Skill Development. The Tamil Nadu Apex Skill Development Centre for Healthcare is part of the Special initiatives of the Chief Minister of the State.

The objectives of the TNASDCH were multifold:

  • To be the modal agency for all the health-care related training in Tamil Nadu, with the support of the TNSDC.
  • To identify skill gaps across the state and create customized courses to fill the gaps.
  • To deliver training programs across the state through various learning models.
  • To focus on the employment linked skill training in the healthcare sector, particularly for youth from the underprivileged sectors of society.

District Level Competitation

I was selected for the district level competition at Cauvery Hospital Later reached state level.TN Apex gave me the required observing skills and creativity. They also took care of my accommodation. Drill Session

Today we had one drill session from Tamil Nadu Skills Development Centre conducted by Madam Dr. Irfana. We had really gained a lot of skills regarding the PPH management. Actually before the start of this session, we never followed any particular protocol After this drill proper protocol from the basic steps to the< surgical management. Her lecture was useful for us to assess blood loss postpartum hemorrhage. We were able to recognize what all mistakes we have done initially . This is a tertiary center so we are not that much well versed in referring the patient to other centers.

Zonal Level Competition

We conducted Zonal Level Competition at kauvery hospital, which was organized by TN Apex Skill Development Center for Health Care. And I think they are doing a fabulous job instilling values related to skill development for future generation. So as you all know that we are dealing with Gen-Z, they need a lot of hands-on experience. And I think TN Apex Skill is doing the best job. We conducted the exam for the past three days, and I was one of the jury, It was a great experience. I want to thank TN Apex skills development and best wishes for continuing the great job.
